Bristol Airport spotters day a great success

Bristol Airport Spotting held the last and final spotters day at Bristol Airport in the Bristol Room located in the admin building, or more commonly known as the old terminal on Sunday 25th August 2019. The attraction of the event and past events have been the close up views of the action on the runway, taxiways and apron.

The event was open to all aviation enthusiasts over a age restriction purely to make it fair for everyone, and people with a keen interest in aviation, unlike previous aviation fairs this spotters day was simply about watching and photographing the aircraft actions, there were no stalls, exhibits or attractions on the day.

Entry to the event was restricted with ticket only to keep numbers to a suitable amount, entry cost was £2.50 each which raised £64.00 for the airport charity of the year which is Great Western Air Ambulance.

We would like to thank the airport for allowing these events to happen and especially this years spotters day which was organised at the last minute to make use of the room before the building is removed later this year to make way for further aircraft parking stands. Also thank you to all of our supporters and enthusiasts who came along and continue to support BAS.

At the end of the event we took the opportunity to get a group photo in front of the admin building / old terminal for prosperity and something to look back on in the future.
