Bristol Airport Spotting working with Bristol Airport held 5 spotters events during 2024, the events took place in April, May, July, August and September and were attended by 250 spotters of all ages across all events raising £1787 for the Bristol Airport charity of the year which is Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
Spotters of all ages and locations attended the events held on the roof terrace of the admin building, the terrace gives a unique view across the airport and a ringside view for arriving and departing aircraft. Visitors could watch aircraft line up and depart, land and taxi onto stand and observe the ground operations. Staff from the airport were on hand to answer questions on developments at Bristol Airport as well as issues with aircraft spotting and access.
The events for 2024 have now come to an end due to the darker evenings and changeable weather, we would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event as well as thank Bristol Airport for their help and support with allowing these events to happen. We look forward to 2025 and further events taking place.
