Bristol Airport Spotting, in collaboration with Bristol Airport, successfully hosted six aircraft spotting events throughout 2026. Held in April, May, June, July, August and September, the events welcomed a total of 300 aviation enthusiasts of all ages. Across the six sessions, attendees helped raise £1,924.71 in support of Bristol Airport’s Charity of the Year, Children’s Hospice South West.

Each event was held on the roof terrace of the airport’s administration building, offering a unique elevated perspective across the airfield. From this exclusive vantage point, visitors enjoyed excellent views of aircraft arrivals and departures, as well as the many ground operations taking place throughout the day — providing a true “ringside seat” to the action at Bristol Airport.

Bristol Airport staff attended every event, giving visitors the opportunity to meet with members of the airport team, hear about current and future developments, and discuss aircraft spotting, access and other airport-related topics.

As the days become shorter and autumn weather becomes increasingly unpredictable, the 2026 spotting season has now come to a close. Bristol Airport Spotting would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who attended the events, contributed to the charity collection and helped make the sessions such a success. We would also like to thank Bristol Airport for its continued support, cooperation and assistance in making these events possible.

We look forward to welcoming spotters back in 2027 for another exciting season of aircraft spotting events.
