Bristol Airport Police response on drones at airports

We recently asked Inspector Barney Gardom of the Bristol Airport Police for a few words regarding drones at Bristol Airport following the delays and problems experienced at London Gatwick last week, we received this reply:

I am sure that you have all been following the events at Gatwick over the last two days. I cannot discuss this incident, but flying drones near to an airport is incredibly dangerous, reckless and a crime. Those who choose to behave in this way should be in no doubt that they face serious consequences and police will use all available powers to investigate and prosecute. Bristol Airport’s aviation enthusiasts have a vital part to play in preventing the illegal use of drones through your vigilance.  Please keep doing what you are already doing in helping us to keep the airport secure.
