bmi Regional and Air France have announced a brand new codeshare partnership on bmi’s Bristol to Paris service. The partnership, which commences from 14th May 2018, will provide business and leisure customers from Bristol Airport with access to 25 french cities via Air France’s hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The news comes less than a month after bmi announced that it would be increasing the frequency of its Paris CDG service from Bristol Airport. The airline currently flies twice daily between Bristol and Paris but, in response to customer demand the airline will be adding a further flight three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from the 14 May 2018.
As well as opening up new destinations to the South West, the new codeshare partnership strengthens both airlines’ network presence at Bristol Airport and is also expected to benefit inbound tourism to the local area and economy.
bmi Regional has announced that it will be expanding the Paris CDG route from Bristol Airport with increased frequencies starting from 14th May 2018. bmi currently flies twice daily between Bristol and Paris but, in response to demand from customers, will be adding a further flight three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
As of the 14th May, the Bristol Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle route will operate as follows:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – 3 x daily
- Tuesday and Friday – 2 x daily
- Sunday – 1 x daily
The additional flights will offer improved convenience and flexibility for all passengers on the route, and particularly those travelling on business between Paris and the South West of England.
This spring also marks five years of bmi’s successful Frankfurt and Munich routes from Bristol, which, since launching in March and May 2013 respectively, have grown consistently and become two of bmi’s hallmark services. Enabling business and leisure travellers from the South West to connect three times daily to Frankfurt and twice daily to Munich, the flights also have the advantage of allowing customers from the South West to continue their journey to destinations across Europe and further afield, via both bmi’s Munich and Frankfurt hubs and also its codeshare agreement with Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti.
bmi Regional has expanded its route network from Bristol Airport by launching a new flight from Bristol to Gothenburg.
The first flight of the new route departed on 22nd January 2018, passengers were welcomed with Swedish ‘fika’ along with cakes and biscuits produced by a local Swedish bakery Fika Bristol. Also onboard the inaugural flight were leading business and travel influencers.
The new flight which is part of bmi Regional’s desire to expand its flights between key destinations around Europe will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Gothenburg is bmi Regional’s first Swedish route from Bristol. Gothenburg is the location of Scandinavia’s largest port and a hub for global trade, currently enjoying massive economic growth. It is a popular city break destination thanks to its fabulous food, eclectic culture and vibrant nightlife, as well as being the gateway to the stunning coast of West Sweden.
