Oil Spill Response Boeing 727 visits Bristol Airport

On the 3rd and 4th March 2020 spotters at Bristol Airport were privileged to see the arrival of the Oil Spill Response Boeing 727, registration G-OSRA. The aircraft is currently 35 years old and started life with FedEx operating cargo flights before joining the OSR fleet in 2012.

The aircraft flew to Bristol Airport from Lasham to practice some approaches and low flights across the airfield, the plan was for 4 per day but the second approach resulting in a landing, wait and departure. Which pleased the many spotters who had ventured out on the bright spring day.

From their website, Oil Spill Response is the largest international industry-funded cooperative which exists to respond to oil spills globally by providing preparedness, response and intervention services delivered by our highly experienced and qualified global team of experts.
