TUI Air UK today (20 December 2017) announced a 4th Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Destination from Bristol. The Punta Cana route will operate 1x weekly on Wednesdays commening on 5th April 2018 (Thu). The move demonstrates the great success TUI is having with its first two Dreamliner routes from Bristol (Cancun and Orlando), which replaced the 767 last year. TUI also previously announced the 787 will replace the 757-200 on the Cape Verde route, stating this will commence on 2nd May 2018 (Wed).
The routes to Orlando and Cancun are returning at 1x weekly, commencing on 6th April 2018 (Fri) and 31st March 2018 (Sat).
Bristol Airport said: “We’re really pleased to hear that Thomson and First Choice are increasing the number of flights, holidays and destinations available from Bristol Airport. The introduction of Punta Cana as a long haul destination is particularly exciting we are sure it will attract plenty of local holiday makers who can’t wait to travel on the new 787 Dreamliner. Florida and Mexico destinations (commenced May 2017) are already proving popular and this new long haul route adds to the growing number of destinations available for our passengers.”
Further into 2019, Jamaica has been added as a one-off destination from Bristol, departing on 2nd April 2019.
