We are very sad to report that Martyn East, one of the admin team here at Bristol Airport Spotting passed away on Monday 3rd October 2016 after battling a long illness for many months, Martyn worked behind the scenes on developing the ID Card Scheme and he was in the stages of beginning to take orders to get things moving, he also helped and supported the aviation fair planning as well as being a good friend to anyone he met sharing his wealth of 30 years aviation knowledge.
He will be very much missed by all who knew him and everyone within the BAS team and community. We plan on continuing with the ‘plane watch’ scheme in his memory and more information will be announced later in the year.
