Frequently Asked Questions:

Where is the admin building?

The admin building (noted on the map as Lulsgate House) is located on the south side of the airport, exit the Silver Zone roundabout and the building is on your left.

How much is entry?

The cost is £10 per adult plus £1 booking fee, children under 16 go free, all proceeds go towards the airport charity of the year which is Great Western Air Ambulance. Admission is payable when booking your ticket, all attendees need a valid ticket for entry, please select adult or child tickets when ordering. Children must attend with a full paying adult.

Why is there a booking fee?

We have decided to implement a small booking fee of £1 to cover costs subtracted from our ticket sales service, this will ensure the charity receives as much money from the sale of tickets as possible. ALL proceeds go directly to the charity we are supporting.

Can I park nearby?

Free parking is available for spotters visiting Lulsgate House by using the newly improved section within the main staff car park, adjacent to the existing Private Car Park. This area offers more spaces and a better surface. To access this new car park instead of turning right into the Private Car Park as you may have done on previous events, continue straight ahead and turn left at the roundabout into the main staff car park.

Take a ticket at the barrier and follow the directional signs, turning right and then right again as shown on the map below.

From the parking area, use the pedestrian crossing to enter the former Private Car Park (new Waiting Zone). Follow the walking route through towards Lulsgate House. We estimate that it will take around 1 – 2 minutes to walk, depending on where you park on the day.

Will the parking area be allocated only to Lulsgate House visitors, or shared with others too?

This area is primarily intended for Lulsgate House colleagues and visitors, and with 400 spaces there should be sufficient capacity for those who need to use it. However, because there is no barrier-controlled entry, it may also be used as overflow parking for the main staff car park during busy periods.

Can I park in the Lulsgate House Car Park?

We ask visitors not to park in the Lulsgate House car park, so we can prioritise spaces for those with reduced mobility and operational vehicles.

What am I likely to see?

We are timing the events so spotters get maximum benefit.

How long can I stay at the event?

The event will run for 2 hours and you are welcome to stay for the total time or for as long as you like.

What time do I need to arrive?

You will need to arrive by 17:15pm for a brief welcome discussion before the event starts, along with the chance to grab a refreshment. Please have your tickets ready to be scanned on arrival at the admin building.

How do I get a ticket?

All tickets will be on a first come first served basis, so tickets will sell out quickly. Ticket will be available from
Thursday 18th June 2026 at 19.00pm. Order online at using the ticket button below.

Will there be more than one event?

We are working with Bristol Airport to provide a series of events at different days and times to allow as many people to attend, and to get different aircraft at different times.

What are the views like?

If operations are on runway 27 aircraft will touchdown right in front of you, there is also the opportunity for photography of aircraft on stands and pushing back. Some images below show the area.
